PM's National Security Advisor: Hamas received biggest blow in its history

Yossi Cohen, National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that Israel inflicted on Hamas damage in this summer's Gaza operation that resulted in the organization receiving the biggest blow in its history.

"Hamas was hit hard and did not win any of its conditions that it set for a cease-fire. Hamas was surprised time and again by the power and scope of Israel's military," Cohen told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

"The international community that gave us legitimacy during the operation, knows Israel's security reality better today than it did in the past," he added.
