Police arrest man suspected of sending bullets, death threats to public officials

A man indicted for building bombs and using an explosive against one of his neighbors has been arrested for allegedly sending bullets and death threats to Israeli public officials, police stated Sunday.

The suspect, 34-year-old Netanya resident and Ukranian immigrant Dan Fromak, carried out the threats as an act of revenge against the authorities who had handled the legal cases against him in the past, police said. The death threats were sent to Lod District Court Judge Yaakov Shefsar and Israel Prisons Service Chief Superintendant Raful Ganai, and included a single 9mm bullet sent in an envelope to each man.

Police said forensic findings on the envelopes and the letters and bullets led them to Fromak, and that in his apartment they found ammunition and documents that indicated he was behind the threats.

Dan Fromak, a single, only child who lives alone in Netanya, had previously been indicted for setting off an explosive device on a beach in Herzliya, and making a bomb that he set off next to his neighbors house.

Fromak is set to be indicted in the coming days, police added.
