Police arrest suspect in June hit-and-run that killed poultry board worker

Israel Police have arrested a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run last month which took the life of an egg and Poultry board worker, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.
Police said Thursday that two days after the incident they managed to track down the car and its driver, and that as the investigation progressed they arrested nine others suspected of assisting the driver.
Inspector Aryeh Shushan was killed on June 8 while he was taking part in a stake-out of a driver suspected of transporting illegal eggs and chicken on a stretch of road between Mount Amsha and the community of Shani in the south Hebron Hills region.
When Shushan ordered the driver to stop he was hit by the vehicle, and the driver fled the scene. Police said at the time that they viewed the incident with the utmost severity and tasked their special investigations unit with finding the killer.
