Police cancel Moshe Peretz concert after tax evasion charge

A concert featuring Israeli musical Moshe Peretz was cancelled Wednesday hours after the Israeli Tax Authority filed charges against him for tax evasion, Israeli media reported.

Police cancelled Peretz's performance, which was due to take place Wednesday evening during an Israel Police ceremony for excelling units, after the authority charged him citing NIS one million evaded in taxes.

Singer Sarit Hadad was due to perform in place of Peretz.
