Police chief: There appears to be justification for probe of allegations against Netanyahu

There appears to be justification for a probe into the allegations made by Meni Naftali, the former manager of the Prime Minister’s official residence, National Police Commissioner Inspector General Yochanan Danino said on Sunday.
“On the face of it, it looks like it is fitting to probe the matter, but we must allow the Attorney General to examine all the findings,” Danino said.
He added that the material from the questioning of Naftali, which spanned nearly 12 hours overnight Thursday, will be passed to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein on Sunday.
A probe is not the same as an official criminal investigation, but often official investigations, especially against public officials, begin as initial police probes.
