Police detain 4 suspected of spray-painting pro-LGBT graffiti in Jerusalem
Police overnight between Wednesday and Thursday detained four young women suspected of vandalizing public property by spray-painting graffiti in support of the contested upcoming LGBT pride parade in the capital.According to police, the women in their 30s spray-painted the walls of several buildings and locations along the march@@@s route.When the women were detained, they told police they had carried out their actions to encourage people to attend the procession. Following police questioning, the detained women were released.This year@@@s march comes the year after a 16-year-old was murdered by a religious zealot at the parade.
