A car was blown up Sunday night on Aliya Street in Acre, in what police are investigating as a criminal incident connected to local underworld figures.
No one was injured in the blast, police reported.
Almost two weeks ago, Ben Cohen, a very well-known underworld figure in the Tel Aviv area, was badly wounded in a car bombing on the border between Givatayim and Tel Aviv. Cohen lost both of his feet in the blast, and two bodyguards who were in his SUV were also wounded.
