Police launch manhunt after 2-year-old girl killed in Ramle hit-and-run

Police launched a manhunt for a hit-and-run driver Wednesday after a severely injured toddler was abandoned at a first aid station by anonymous men. The one-year-old was found by paramedics in Ramle without a pulse, but resuscitation attempts succeeded. She was rushed to Assaf Harofe Hospital near Rishon Lezion, but died of her injuries a few hours later. Medical examinations showed the toddler had been involved in a car accident. "As of now, we are searching for a suspected hit-and-run driver," a police source told The Jerusalem Post. "We know the identity of the driver and the vehicle registration number." The toddler was a resident of Lod and was involved in an accident in Ramle, the source added. "We do not know who dropped her off," he said.
