Police say thwart potential knife attack in south Tel Aviv

A teenage male from the Hebron area was arrested in south Tel Aviv on Saturday while holding a screwdriver, district police said.
Tel Aviv police said that around 3pm they received a call about a suspicious young man seen in the area of Haetzel street in the Hatikva neighborhood. Police said when officers arrived they found the suspect - a 17-year-old resident of the Palestinian village of Yata - holding a screwdriver in hand while standing on the corner of Haetzel and Bar Lev street.
Police apprehended the teen, who is now undergoing questioning, they said.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
