Police thwart attempted car ramming attack in Jeruslaem

Security forces thwarted an attempted car ramming on Monday.
The incident took place as Border Police and Israel Police officers were leaving the Shuafat neighborhood in Jerusalem. While exiting the area, a car began to speed up in the officers' direction in an apparent attempt to hit them.
Officers followed warning procedures but the suspect would not respond and continued driving at a high speed toward the group. The officers fired at the suspect, killing him.
During the altercation, one person was seriously wounded while another person that was in the vehicle with the driver was moderately wounded. One of the wounded was reportedly taken for treatment at Hadassah University Medical Center in Ein Kerem.
None of the security forces were wounded.
