Police to press charges against all 65 haredim arrested in J'lem riots

Jerusalem police plan to press charges against all 65 haredim arrested in three violent demonstrations over the last month against the opening of a parking lot in Jerusalem on Saturdays, police said Sunday. Ten of the suspected rioters will remain in custody through the duration of criminal proceedings against them, while the remainder has been released on bail, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. Haredi activists were planning a massive mid-week demonstration against the opening of the parking lot opposite the Jaffa Gate on Saturdays. The protest, which is pending police approval, is tentatively set for Wednesday.
