Poll: Palestinian support for Hamas, new intifada against Israel drops

One month after the conclusion of Operation Protective Edge, less Palestinians are satisfied with the achievements of the campaign, less are inclined to back a new armed initifada, and more Gazans are in favor of disarming the Islamist terror organizations in the Strip, according to a new poll whose resulted were released on Monday.
The poll, which was conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, also showed a drop in support for Hamas and its leader in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh. The survey also indicated that more Palestinians held a favorable view of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah faction.
