Israel's port workers have acceded to a request by Histadrut Labor Federation chief Avi Nissenkorn and will end their strike, returning to work on Thursday night.
Nissenkoren informed Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz of the strike's end.
The decision came after Haifa and Ashdod port workers had alled a strike on Thursday morning. The workers had ignored a labor court injunction to return to work.
The port workers' dispute is connected to the establishment of new, private ports that they fear will endanger their jobs.
