Pri Galil factory shuts down, 220 employees given forced vacation

The Pri Galil factory in the north stopped operating and its 220 employees put on forced vacation Thursday after the government refused to renew its operating licenses.
The Tzefat-based factory's unions blamed the government for not coming through with the licenses despite attempts to comply with all the regulations at the Economy Ministry and Environmental Protection Ministry.
The Histadrut labor federation filed a labor dispute, saying the forced vacation would affect salaries until the closure, and that the workers were being used "as a pawn between the management and the state."
