Primary mayoral race results: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem incumbents leading

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat overnight Tuesday held the lead over opponent Moshe Lion according to primarily results of Jerusalem's mayoral race, Israel Radio reported.
According to the preliminary count around 1 a.m. Wednesday, Barkat had garnered 53.8% of votes, while Lion held 42.79%.
At the Tel Aviv polls, preliminary results also evinced incumbent Mayor Ron Huldai leading with 50%. The interim results showed contending mayoral candidate MK Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz) with 37% of votes, Channel 2 reported.
