Prosecutors fail to link Assange and prime suspect in leaks

US prosecutors trying to find the loophole that allowed thousands of confidential diplomatic cables to be leaked, have failed to connect Julian Assange, the chief whistle-blower, and prime suspect Private Bradley Manning, the Indian English news daily Times of India reported.
Assange said in an interview last month that he was unsure if Manning, who is in solitary confinement at a military facility in Quantico, Virginia, was the one who actually leaked the files - though Manning is confirmed to have downloaded a hoard of confidential documents.
