Public Security Minister Ohana appoints advisor for haredi community

Public Security Minister Amir Ohana appointed on Sunday Maj.-Gen. (Ret.) Arik Yakuel as special advisor in matters regarding the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community.
Yakuel, 63, served in the Israel Police in several positions over the years, including chief explosives officer and head of the planning department. Yakuel was the first haredi man to reach such a senior position within the Israel Police ranks.
