The Rafah Crossing from Egypt into Gaza will be open from June 13-15 for pedestrians who want to travel in and out of the Strip. It is one of only three crossing into Gaza and it is open only on an intermittent basis. The other two crossings, Erez for pedestrians and Kerem Shalom for goods, are between Israel and Gaza are open five days a week. Rafah is only open intermittently. United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov called for Rafah to be open on a weekly basis.
