Rahm Emanuel: Obama is still committed to Israel

US President Barack Obama is still a close ally of Israel, said Chicago Mayor and former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel in an interview with Channel 2 on Tuesday.
"The president@@@s commitment to the state of Israel is deeply felt," Emanuel said.
Emanuel assured that Obama would stand with Israel on the Iranian issue.  He credited the sanctions imposed by the international coalition on Iran to the US president, telling Channel 2 that "Obama took the US from being internationally isolated on Iran to isolating Iran internationally."
