Israel Railways CEO Boaz Tzafrir on Monday said that management of the company has handed down harsh measures, among them, suspension on nine workers that prevented the departure of a new rail line Sunday. The new line, from Tel Aviv to Rishon Lezion West, was designed to connect the Center to the periphery. A Labor court had previously ordered that the workers return to negotiations and not prevent the rail line from opening, a call echoed by union officials.
