Railways return to normal schedule week after 17 conductors called in sick to protest work conditions

The railways were expected to return to their regular schedules, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.
Last week, 17 train conductors called in sick simultaneously in protest to their working conditions, saying they are working extra hours without benefits.
The assistant CEO of Israel Railways, Yaron Hadari, said that from now on train conductors would receive extra salary wages for working longer hours.
