Rate of millionaires in Israel increases by 42% in 2009

The number of millionaires in Israel grew by more than 42 percent in 2009, from 5,900 to 8,419, according to a report on world wealth released Tuesday by investment bank Merril Lynch.
The Israeli millionaire increase was far above the world increase of millionaires which was 17.1 percent.
Only Hong Kong and India had a higher increase in their number of millionaires than Israel in 2009.
