Religious ministers to vote against Reform section at Western Wall

The head of the ultra-Orthodox Sephardic movement Shas and a Bayit Yehudi minister announced that they will vote against a compromise permitting the Reform movement to hold prayers in a specially designated area near the Western Wall, Army Radio reported on Sunday.
Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel said they would vote against the compromise, which was sought by the Women of the Wall, a group of female worshipers who have defied Orthodox restrictions on all-women minyans at Judaism’s holiest site.
