Remand extended 6 days for senior doctor suspected of rape

The manager of Poriah Hospital's Oncology Department, Yitzhak Shnirer, 54, had his remand extended six days on Thursday, on suspicion that he raped one female patient and sexually harassed four others.
Shnirer was arrested on Thursday afternoon at Ben Gurion International Airport, attempting to leave the country.
Israel Radio reported that the police were checking the possibility that additional women may have been victims of the senior doctor's sexual harassment.
