Remand of entertainer Dudu Topaz extended by seven days

The remand of Israeli entertainer Dudu Topaz was extended by seven days on Monday in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. A police representative told the court of a dramatic twist in the investigation, revealing that Topaz may have been planning more attacks. Shira Margalit and Avi Nir, both high ranking executives in Channel 2, were allegedly assaulted by men working for Topaz, and police suspect that TV celebrities Erez Tal, Zvika Hadar and Avri Gilad were also on Topaz's "list" of targets. Tel Aviv Magistrate Court judge Dan Mor said that if Topaz were released, he may cause harm to other people. There was also fear that Topaz may attempt to flee the country.
