Report: 260 medical residents fail to show up for work

Large numbers of medical residents in several major hospitals failed to show up for work Monday, Army Radio reported, after negotiations in a labor dispute broke down on Sunday.
A total of 260 residents did not show up for their shifts at Ichilov, Kfar Saba, Rambam and Bnei Tzion Hospitals.
Thus far, the National Labor Court has declined to let residents resign over what they claim are unfair conditions agreed upon in the Israel Medical Association’s nine-year labor agreement with the employers, which was signed at the end of August.
