Report: At least 60 killed in clashes, bus bombing in Syria

At least 60 people were killed in Syria on Saturday, including 23 soldiers, in clashes between Syrian security forces and army defectors, and in a prison-bus bombing that occurred near Idlib, Al Jazeera reported.
At least 23 security forces were killed in clashes with army defectors near the Turkish border around the town of Kirbat al-Ghazali, according to the report. Al Jazeera's correspondent in Turkey said he saw massive movement from Syrian military forces along the Turkish border in order to prevent Syrians refugees from fleeing into Turkey.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least nine soldiers and defectors were killed in clashes near the military checkpoint of Ma'arrat Al-Nu'maan in Idlib. A civilian was caught in the crossfire, according to Syrian opposition groups.
A roadside bomb went off near a bus carrying prisoners near Idlib almost simultaneously, killing 15 prisoners, according to the report. Syrian state TV reported the death toll in the attack - which it said was carried out by "terrorists" - at 14.
