Authorities in Sinai will hold a public auction to sell goods valued at $2 million that were seized from smugglers along the border with the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian news agency Ma'an quoted an Egyptian security source as saying on Wednesday. According to the report, Egyptian security forces said they had uncovered five smuggling tunnels along the Gaza border on Wednesday. No one was arrested and no goods were seized in connection with the tunnels, the source reportedly added.
