Report: Eizenkot rejects spot for deputy chief of staff

IDF OC Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot rejected Defense Minister Ehud Barak and OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Yoav Galant's offer to serve as deputy chief of general staff, according to Channel 2 news.
According to the report, Eizenkot has decided to remain at his current post as required.
The IDF Spokesperson has declined to comment.
