Gerhard Konrad, the German mediator working for the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit, visited Gaza two weeks ago, according to a statement given by senior Hamas official Musa Abu Marzouk to the London-based al-Hayat newspaper mentioned by Israel Radio on Saturday.A meeting occurred between senior Hamas officials and Konrad, but Abu Marzouk did not reveal any details from the meeting, except for stating that Hamas's position regarding a prisoner exchange has not changed.
