Report: Islamic Jihad may run in PNC elections

Islamic Jihad may run in the upcoming Palestinian National Council elections, Palestinian news agency Ma'an quoted an executive committee member as saying Thursday.

Shiekh Nafith Azzam told Ma'an the movement had previously discussed the move on the basis of proportional representation, but a consensus had not been reached.

"We are pushing toward arranging the Palestinian arena, and the most important files are the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and the Palestinian National Council elections," Ma'an quoted Azzam as saying.
