Report: Muhammad Ashtiya to be new Palestinian Authority prime minister

The Fatah Central Council met Sunday and decided to form a new government. Palestinian Authority sources told Maariv news that Muhammad Ashtiya, a political adviser to PA President Mahmoud Abbas, is to be installed as prime minister replacing Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
Wafa news reported that Hamdallah and members of the cabinet "have welcomed the recommendations of Fatah Central Committee to form a new government composed of the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to replace the current national reconciliation government."
