Report: PA says will stop import of Israeli produce

The Palestinian Authority announced that it has officially decided to stop importing fruit and vegetables from Israel, Army Radio reported Thursday.
Earlier in the month Palestinians had stopped importing fresh lamb meat.
In response to the PA's earlier decision, Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel ordered earlier in December to cease the import to Israel of fruits and vegetables grown by Palestinians in the area of the West Bank under Palestinian Authority control.
"The importation of fresh agricultural goods from the PA will not be authorized until further notice," Ariel said. "I will not allow a unilateral violation of the [trade] agreements; every violation will be answered."
