Report: Palestinian youth seek own university in Lebanon

The Democratic Palestinian Youth Union on Wednesday called for a university specifically for Palestinians in Lebanon, Lebanese Daily Star quoted the state-run National News Agency as reporting.
According to the report, a union delegation visited the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Beirut handed their demands in a memo to the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Filippo Grandi.
“A university free of fees can be established for Palestinians in Lebanon by the UNRWA, in cooperation with the PLO,” the Daily Star quoted the memo as saying.
“Palestinian refugees in Lebanon cannot afford the high cost of Lebanese universities,” the NNA stated the memo as saying.
