Report: Turkey's Jewish population declining

Aliya and a death rate twice that of the birth rate is causing a decline in the population of Jews living in Turkey, Turkish daily Hurriyet Daily News and Economic Review cited community representative as saying Monday.
According to Hurriyet, econonmic considerations are driving aliya both from Turkey, and then also amongst Turkish students who study abroad in Israeli universities.
The report also said that while 129 Jews died in Turkey in 2010, only 60 were born to the 20,000 person population.
