Respected British interviewer David Frost dies of a heart attack

British journalist David Frost,best-known for interviewing former U.S president Richard Nixon,died of a heart attack on Saturday at the age of 74, the BBCreported on Sunday.

"Sir David died of a heart attack last night aboard theQueen Elizabeth which is a Cunard (cruise) liner where he wasgiving a speech. His family are devastated and ask for privacyat this difficult time," the family said in a statement read onBBC television. Frost, who was a permanent fixture on British TV for more than four decades, had in recent years been working for Al-Jazeera.
