Rishon Lezion to host international UAV salon

Skies over central Israel will be shut for a brief period on November 26 for a UAV exhibition due to be held in Rishon Lezion, organizers of the event announced on Wednesday.
A range of unmanned vehicles that operate in the land, air, and water will be displayed in both static exhibitions and in a live display of their capabilities, the organizers added.
The salon will feature all of Israel’s drone production industries, the iHLS website, which is behind the event and focuses on homeland security news, stated. Unmanned naval vehicles and unmanned ground vehicles, some of which are operational and some in advanced development stages, will be exhibited, including the Urban Aeronautics Air Mule, an aircraft designed to evacuate injured soldiers from battlefields.
“Israel, known worldwide as a drone superpower, will present its [unclassified] capabilities during the event, which has drawn participants from all over the world,” a statement from iHLS said. The exhibition will attract representatives from militaries and defense industries.
