Rivlin says that 'price tag' arsonists should be treated as terrorists

President Reuven Rivlin has come out sharply against the attempt by Jewish extremists to burn down the mosque in the Palestinian town of Aqraba.  As soon as he heard of the incident, Rivlin contacted Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino and asked him to lead the investigation as a matter of urgency.
“The burning of holy placers is terrorism and should be treated as terrorism,” Rivlin declared, saying that it was terrorism regardless of whether it was racially, religiously or nationalistically motivated.
Rivlin underscored that incidents of this nature cannot be treated as marginal.  This is a serious problem which must be uprooted, he insisted.  “All those who remain silent in the face of such deeds are laying the ground for the next assault,” he said.
Rivlin cautioned that unless decisive action is taken, “we will all pay the ‘price tag.’”
