Rivlin to get new military aide-de-camp

Col. Hasson Hasson, aide-de-camp to President Reuven Rivlin, will be succeeded on Tuesday by Col. Boaz Hershkowitz, who was formerly special aerial forces commander of the Israel Air Force.
Hasson was the first Druse to be appointed ADC to a president of the state, when he took up the post to then-president Shimon Peres in 2008. Hasson, a former company commander in the Golani Brigade, said at the time of his appointment that he had 26 relatives who were also officers in the IDF.
His father-in-law, Kamal Mansour, for more than three decades served as the presidential adviser on minorities to presidents Zalman Shazar, Efraim Katzir, Yitzhak Navon, Chaim Herzog, Ezer Weizman, Moshe Katsav and Shimon Peres.
Mansour’s daughter Iman, who is married to Hasson, more or less grew up in the President’s Residence.
