Rivlin to meet Putin in March Russia visit

In light of recent developments in the region and the fact that Syria is sitting on Israel’s border, President Reuven Rivlin is slated to visit Russia in March to meet with President Vladimir Putin, it was announced Thursday following consultation with relevant authorities.
In his talks with various dignitaries, Rivlin has said more than once that he doubts that Syria can ever be a unified country again and that he is profoundly worried that once other countries that are involved leave the area, Israel will be left with the Iranians and Hezbollah on its doorstep.
Rivlin is also scheduled to travel to Hong Kong and Australia in March.
