Romney: US sequester is opportunity squandered by politics

In his first interview since losing the 2012 US presidential election, Republican Mitt Romney criticized the government spending cuts US President Barack Obama approved on Friday, saying Washington is letting a "golden moment just slip away with politics."
Romney told Fox News Sunday that the automatic spending cuts are "a huge opportunity" to solve America's fiscal problems."I see this as this huge opportunity and it's being squandered by politics, by people who are more interested in a political victory than they are in doing what's right for the country," he said.
