Route 1 to Jerusalem closed due to ice build up

Route 1, the main route between Jerusalem and the coast, was closed early Sunday morning because of a buildup of ice on the roadway.
The highway was briefly opened to public transportation late on Saturday night after snow had caused its closure over the weekend.
Highway 443, the alternative route into and out of the capital remained closed as of Sunday morning.
Train travel to and from Jerusalem was set to resume on Sunday morning.
