Russia ready to discuss new Putin-Trump meeting in White House

MOSCOW - Russia is ready to discuss a proposed new meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump, the Interfax news agency cited Russia's ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, as saying on Friday.

The White House said on Thursday that Trump had invited Putin to visit Washington this autumn, a daring rebuttal to a torrent of criticism in the United States over Trump's summit with Putin in Helsinki this week.
