Russia says 76 people evacuated from Syria's eastern Ghouta

MOSCOW - Russia's military said 76 people, including 49 children, had left Syria's eastern Ghouta district via a humanitarian corridor on Monday, Russian news agencies reported.

Russia's ceasefire monitoring center in Syria, which is part of the military, said militants had attacked civilians heading towards the humanitarian corridor and killed five people, the news agencies reported.
