The director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Khalid al-Melhem is defending the companies right to not allow Israeli passengers on their air-crafts, Arab news network Al-Arabiya reported on Friday.
“If there is an absence of political relations between [Saudi Arabia] and any other country, we will not allow that country’s citizens into the kingdom,” Al-Arabiya reported Melhem as saying. “[Diplomatic relations] also apply to transit passengers… in case the plane is delayed, the passenger will have to enter the country; and at that point, it would be very difficult to let him into [Saudi] if there are no diplomatic relations.”Saudi Arabian Airlines is discriminating against Israeli citizens by refusing to fly them from US airports, even for flight transfers, the New York Post

, the airline’s website requests details for citizenship in order to book a ticket but has no option on a drop-down menu for anyone holding an Israeli passport.
