Dudi Sela was hoping to level the tie by beating Juan Carlos Ferrero (21) in the second match of Friday, after Israel got off to a disappointing start to this weekend's Davis Cup semifinal tie against Spain as Harel Levy (140) was convincingly beaten by David Ferrer (19) earlier in the day. Ferrero was ranked 1st in the world in the past, and Sela is known to dislike playing on a clay field, but the Israeli team was still hoping for him to surprise. However, Ferrero won swiftly, beating Sela 6-4, 6-0, 6-2.
