Senior Israeli official: Israel and Turkey agree to normalise ties

Israel and Turkey on Sunday reached agreement to normalise ties, a senior Israeli official told Israeli reporters travelling with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is in Rome.
An official announcement on the restoration of full ties is expected on Monday and comes after three years of talks, encouraged by Washington, to end a rift over the Israeli navy's killing of 10 Turkish pro-Palestinian activists who tried to sail to the blockaded Gaza Strip in 2010.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry had no immediate comment on the Israeli official's announcement.
