Senior US officials meet Australian counterparts to discuss security, climate issues

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis met their Australian counterparts in Sydney on Monday (June 5) to discuss issues ranging from security to climate.
The talks between Tillerson, Mattis and Australian Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Defence Minister Marise Payne were held at New South Wales Government House.
The Australia-United States Ministerial Consultations (AUSMIN) was established over 30 years ago and is the premier forum for defence, strategic matters and bilateral consultations between Australia and the United States.
