Vice Premier Silvan Shalom on Thursday said Hamas understood that Israel responds strongly to fire, and would react in a variety of ways, including a ground invasion and targeting its leadership.Speaking to Israel Radio, Shalom attributed the terrorist group's decision to maintain calm after a day of rocket fire to Israeli deterrence.
