Shalom: J'lem was never part of building freeze decisions

There was always opposition to building in Jerusalem, said Vice Premier Silvan Shalom Sunday morning in an interview with Israel Radio, "but the city was never part of decisions on building freezes."
Shalom emphasized to Israel Radio that all issues of the conflict need to be discussed at the same time, rather than beginning with the issues of borders and security as proposed by the Quartet.
If the Palestinians are granted all their territorial demands, he said, they would have no interest in compromising on the issues that are important to Israel, such as as refugees, Jerusalem and holy sites.
